A Stunning New Year’s Eve Winter Fisherman’s Cove Wedding with Alyson and Brent

Alyson and Brent got married on New Years Eve 2016. They held their wedding at Fishermans Cove in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I absolutely love rustic style weddings!

The Wedding Prep Photos

Alyson got ready at her Aunt’s home with her bridal party and close family. While Brent got ready just down the road at The Inn at Fisherman’s Cove with his groomsmen. The atmosphere at both locations was overwhelming excitement. They both walked the short distance to the Fisherman’s Cove Venue with their wedding parties.

The Wedding Ceremony Photos

The wedding ceremony was held at the rustic Fisherman’s Cove in Eastern Passage. Brent and his groomsmen walked down the aisle first, which was a first for this photographer. The father of the bride then walked Alyson down the aisle. Alyson wore her veil over her face for the entire ceremony, a practice so rarely seen these days, making the nostalgic tradition unique. Their wedding ceremony took place at sunset and it was a beautiful wedding vow exchange. They had both written their own vows for the wedding ceremony. Brent then lifted the wedding veil over Alyson’s head for their first kiss. It was then off to the ocean for a few stunning sunset images.

The Wedding Reception Photos

The wedding reception began with pizza for dinner followed by homemade pies! LOVED it! The decorations were done in a nautical theme which was very fitting for the venue they chose as well as the couple themselves. They both love to sail. A few speeches along with their first dance came next. Followed by a photobooth and more partying for the rest of the evening. They finished off the evening with a round of awesome fireworks!
