OLD ORCHARD INN HERITAGE BARN NS WEDDING – TAMARA AND FRANKIE
Tamara and Frankie got married in September at the stunningly rustic Old Orchard Inn Heritage Barn in Nova Scotia. Barn weddings truly are my absolute favorite weddings to capture, I just love the rustic theme. It was a beautiful wedding with their 4 year old son Cruz.
Tamara got ready in a suite at the Old Orchard Inn with her bridal party and the atmosphere was calm but exciting. There were frequent visits from friends and family during the morning while they all got ready for the big day. Frankie got ready in one of the hotel’s rooms with his groomsmen. Both the ladies and the guys traveled to the ceremony on foot to the Heritage Barn on the venue’s property. Tamara’s gown was absolutely gorgeous and lacy with Frankie dressed in grey.
The ceremony was an intimate affair held under a rustic trellis. It was an extremely romantic and emotional ceremony. Frankie walked up the aisle in crutches, he had broken his leg prior to the wedding. Cruz followed his dad in a very cool dodge charger peddle car, he had the rings in the trunk! Tamara walked up the aisle with her father. During the ceremony they had a beautiful sand ceremony which included Cruz who readily helped his father with his sand too. The emotional moments were endless and the images captured truly priceless! After the ceremony we went out onto the venue’s grounds for their formal images and there were so many things to play with, truly a photographer’s playground!
The reception was held in the barn as well. It was a simple wedding decoration wise, accenting the venue’s natural beauty with vases of ivory flowers on the tables. The dinner was served as a sit down meal. Cruz received a nerf rocket launcher and had a blast all night, a few of the rockets got lost in the barn’s rafters. There were a lot of tears during the speeches, very heartfelt sentiments were voiced.
